The city of Zhengzhou, in China’s Henan province, is hosting the 11th World Forum of Women University Presidents from 24 to 29 May 2024. This prestigious event brings together influential figures from the academic world, mainly university presidents, under the theme: ‘Multicultural backgrounds and common development : the responsibility of higher’.
This annual forum remains a must for university presidents from all over the world. It offers a unique platform for exchanging views on the challenges and opportunities facing the higher education sector. For this 11th edition, particular emphasis will be placed on cultural diversity and collaborative development. A warm welcome for Dr Debora Kayembe

Dr Debora Kayembe arrived on Thursday 23 May, and her trip began with a cordial meeting the morning after she landed at Zhengzhou airport. On Friday 24 May, she was welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor of Huanghe S & T University and his entire delegation.
One of the highlights of the meeting was undoubtedly the exchange of gifts between Dr Debora Kayembe and the Vice-Chancellor of Huanghe S & T University. In a gesture of respect and friendship, the Vice-Chancellor presented Dr Kayembe with gifts symbolising Chinese culture and tradition, reflecting the hospitality and cultural richness of the Henan region in particular.
In return, Dr. Kayembe offered gifts in a friendly atmosphere. This exchange of gifts not only strengthened the ties between the two delegations, but also underlined the importance of intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding in an increasingly connected world.
